Loreburn Housing Association has once again extended an end of year thank you to tenants who have gone the extra mile for their neighbours and local communities.
The GREAT Big Thank You initiative recognises and celebrates Loreburn tenants who have generously given their time to support others and improve the places they live.
Tenants nominated were pleasantly surprised with a visit and a small gift from Loreburn, acknowledging their community spirit and contributions over the past year.
Peter, a Loreburn tenant in Stranraer, was one such tenant. He was nominated by Loreburn housing officer Katie McNally in recognition of the positive impact he has made in his local area.
Explaining her nomination, Katie said: “Since moving into his home, Peter has created an idyllic space for himself and his neighbours to enjoy. His work has made a real difference to the area, encouraging people to benefit from the outdoor space so much more.
“I nominated Peter for a GREAT Big Thank You to show him that what he’s done is really appreciated.”
Kirsteen McGinn, chief executive at Loreburn, also paid tribute to tenants recognised through the initiative.
She added: “Peter is just one of many good neighbours who give their time to take care of their surroundings and support others. This is our small way of recognising all they do and the valuable community spirit they bring to our neighbourhoods.”
