Ms McAllan said: “I am very pleased to see the impressive work that is ongoing in Fife to address their current challenges. They are leading the way for local authorities across Scotland in tackling the housing emergency.
“Fife Council has a plan to end the use of unsuitable temporary accommodation by June this year and return to sustainable rapid rehousing. We’re also seeing the number of children in temporary accommodation in Fife going down.
“We have a lot of work still to do to tackle the housing emergency, but the work ongoing in Fife reassures me we are on the right track.”
