Norman Hampshire appointed leader of East Lothian Council

Councillor Norman Hampshire

Councillor Norman Hampshire has been appointed leader of East Lothian Council.

His appointment to the role was confirmed at yesterday’s meeting full council meeting.

Councillor Hampshire will be replaced as depute council leader by Councillor Shamin Akhtar.

The appointments follow the sad death of Councillor Willie Innes, who served as council leader.
