Stephen O’Neill, a North Lanarkshire Council housing officer based in Viewpark, has been shortlisted for a prestigious national award.

The TIS National Excellence Awards recognise and celebrate the outstanding work of those who are committed to making a true difference within the Scottish housing sector.

Stephen has been nominated for the Tenant Participation Champion category alongside another two candidates from Perth & Kinross and East Ayrshire Councils.

Des Murray, newly appointed assistant chief executive of North Lanarkshire Council, said: “I am delighted Stephen has been nominated for this award. It reflects the hard work and dedication he puts into helping local people find solutions to their housing needs.”

The result will be announced at the National Excellence Awards ceremony, hosted by radio presenter, Cat Harvey at the Westerwood Hotel on Saturday 11 June.
