Wheatley’s £100 million plans for regeneration in north Glasgow have been approved by Glasgow City Council’s planning committee.

The project will see the delivery of 401 new homes in Wyndford.

The development will comprise 343 properties for social rent alongside 58 for mid-market rent.

They will be energy-efficient homes with a mixture of one, two, and three-bedroom flats, alongside three and four-bedroom houses.

A new, purpose-built, two-storey community centre with a café and bookable rooms is also among the proposals.

To deliver the regeneration project, new green spaces are planned, such as a playpark, landscaping, seating and active travel routes across the River Kelvin.

Grant funding from the council and the Scottish Government is supporting the planned work.

In 2025, four outdated multi-storey buildings were knocked down at 120, 151, 171 and 191 Wyndford Road, to allow space for a new development.

Work is anticipated to begin in mid-2027.

Lindsay Lauder, Wheatley’s director of development and regeneration, said: “We are not only building homes but helping to create a community that people are proud to live in.

“We will continue to engage with our tenant-led Wyndford Futures Focus Group on the next steps of the regeneration.”
