Reidvale and Kingdom celebrate major wins at 2026 Share Awards
The winning team at Reidvale Housing Association
Two housing associations have added to the celebrations following the 2026 Share Awards, with Reidvale and Kingdom both securing top honours at this year’s ceremony in Glasgow.
The awards, now in their second year, brought together professionals from across the country to recognise excellence in governance, service delivery and community impact.
Reidvale Housing Association’s management committee was named Governing Body of the Year, marking a defining moment in the organisation’s recent journey and reinforcing the progress highlighted in our earlier coverage of the 2026 Share Awards.
Just two years ago, Reidvale’s future as an independent, community‑controlled association was uncertain. Following regulatory intervention and a proposed transfer of engagements, local members voted in January 2024 to retain independence — a decision that set the stage for an intensive period of governance reform.
Since then, the governing body has strengthened oversight by improving financial scrutiny, risk reporting and long‑term planning, and restored regulatory compliance with the Scottish Housing Regulator in October 2024.
Service improvements have been made, including a rise in overall tenant satisfaction from 84.2% (2023) to 92.67% (2025), outperforming national averages, while Reidvale has invested in community assets, from traditional tenement stock to the Reidvale Neighbourhood Centre through a partnership with the Halliday Foundation.
Share chief executive Daryl McIntosh said the award recognised “leadership, professionalism and clear commitment to improvement”, while Reidvale chair Denise Dempsey described it as a tribute to “dedication, integrity and genuine community spirit”.
The win reinforces Reidvale’s message that community‑based housing associations can deliver strong outcomes when governance, accountability and local democracy work hand in hand.
Housing Team of the Year winners Kingdom Housing Association
Kingdom Housing Association also celebrated success on the night, with its Tenancy Support Services (TSS) team taking home Housing Team of the Year.
The award caps a remarkable year for the team, which supported tenants across four local authority areas to secure over £1.3 million in financial gains in 2025. The service combines a Team Leader, seven Tenancy Support Officers and a Resilience Outreach Worker from Change Mental Health, with a second outreach post now being added due to demand.
A redesigned service model has delivered:
- Faster, more consistent support through area‑based working and triage
- Streamlined referrals enabling earlier intervention
- Wraparound care through the partnership with Change Mental Health
- Improved tenancy sustainment during a period of acute cost‑of‑living pressures
Team leader Abi Fox‑Donnelly said the award reflected the team’s commitment to “putting people at the centre of everything we do” and praised Kingdom for valuing support services as a core part of its mission to provide “more than a home”.
She added: “We’re ecstatic to win Share’s Housing Team of the Year. Since becoming the Team Leader in 2025, I’m impressed every day by the difference the team makes to individuals and their families. We’re strong when we work together, and we always put people at the centre of everything we do.
“We’ll continue to celebrate every outcome, big or small, and to focus on what our tenants really need and want from us amidst the Cost-of-Living crisis. I am so proud of the team and to work for an organisation that truly values support services and the importance of tenancy sustainment.”
