Cloch Housing Association chief executive Alana Durnin has announced her decision to retire.
Having worked at the Association for the past ten years, serving as chief executive for the last three and a half, Ms Durnin will move on in April 2026.
Robert Pollock, Cloch’s current director of assets, will then step up to become chief executive.
Alana Durnin described leading Cloch as “one of the greatest privileges of my life”.
“What I’m most proud of isn’t just the achievements - it’s the people,” she said. “Together, we’ve built a culture where colleagues feel valued and empowered, and that has driven everything from improved performance and customer involvement to greater satisfaction and financial stability.”
Alana added: “Seeing our customers happier and our team thriving has been the real reward. I leave with immense gratitude for the dedication, passion, and kindness of everyone I’ve worked alongside. They have inspired me every single day.
“Cloch is in a strong position for the future, and I know the best is yet to come. I’m delighted that Robert will be taking up the helm as chief executive - his leadership, vision, and commitment will ensure Cloch continues to go from strength to strength.”
Incoming chief executive Robert Pollock said: “I am honoured to succeed Alana as chief executive of Cloch Housing Association as she retires after more than a decade of distinguished service, including three and a half years leading the organisation. Alana leaves an outstanding legacy: a financially secure association, thriving communities, and above all, a people-centred culture that puts colleagues and tenants first.
“I thank her warmly for her inspirational leadership and wish her a very happy retirement. I am also grateful to the board for placing their trust in me. Together with our talented team and Board, I look forward to building on these strong foundations and ensuring Cloch continues to go from strength to strength.”
Richard Fairley, Cloch’s head of people and culture, said Alana has been “an inspirational leader”.
“As she retires, we will sincerely miss her high energy, innovation and the profound commitment she has shown to both our community and our people,” he added. “Her leadership has made a significant and lasting impact across the organisation, and we are deeply grateful for all she has contributed.”
Having led the chief executive recruitment, Mr Fairley said he looks forward to Robert Pollock’s tenure.
“While we are sad to see Alana go, we are equally delighted to congratulate Robert Pollock on his appointment as chief executive,” Mr Fairley said.
“Having stepped up from his role as director of assets, Robert was the standout candidate in a robust and highly competitive recruitment process, and his promotion reflects both his exceptional capability and his dedication to Cloch. This is an exciting time for the Association as we move into a period of stability and continued growth in the digital era, and we look forward to supporting Robert as he leads us into this next chapter.”
