Share counts down to Corporate Governance, HR & Finance Conference

With just four weeks to go, there’s still time to book your place at Share’s Corporate Governance, HR & Finance Conference on Wednesday 4th November 2026 at the Apex Grassmarket Hotel, Edinburgh.

The conference brings together professionals working across governance, corporate services, HR and finance to look at some of the issues currently affecting housing organisations.

The day will open with a regulatory and employment law update from James McMorrow and colleagues from Harper MacLeod LLP, covering recent developments and what they mean for housing organisations.

Delegates will also have the chance to take part in roundtable discussions covering workplace issues including crisis communications, staff wellbeing and neurodiversity in the workplace.

Aileen Carson, neurodiversity trainer and keynote speaker, will lead a discussion exploring how organisations can create more inclusive and supportive environments, giving attendees the opportunity to share experiences and discuss practical approaches.

Chris Fairbairn, deputy managing director at Holyrood PR, will also explore crisis communications, looking at how organisations can prepare for and respond to challenging situations.

In the afternoon, David Archibald and Emma Tilley from Henderson Loggie will lead a workshop on governance, risk and assurance, looking at how organisations can strengthen oversight and assurance arrangements.

The programme will also feature Jim Gourlay, director of finance at Milnbank Housing Association, who will lead a workshop on Building Financial Resilience: 10 Things Every Housing Finance Team Should Be Doing Right Now. The session will explore practical steps finance teams can take to strengthen financial resilience, including the metrics that matter most and approaches to improving long-term financial sustainability.

The programme will close with a keynote from Brian Costello of HeadStrong, focusing on practical ways organisations can support healthier and more resilient workplaces.

If you work in governance, HR, finance or corporate services within the housing sector, the conference provides an opportunity to hear from speakers, discuss current issues with colleagues and take ideas back to your organisation.
