Share launches new Wellbeing Audit service to support workforces
In 2024/25, an estimated 964k workers suffered from work-related stress, depression or anxiety (HSE), leading to a staggering 22.1 million working days lost.
Increasingly, organisations are putting wellbeing strategies in place, however despite this, many employees feel stressed, put under pressure, and that their work is having a debilitating impact on their mental and physical health (CIPD).
A new Workplace Wellbeing Audit service has been launched to help organisations better understand and improve workforce wellbeing.
Developed by Share with input from Dr Andrew Robert Watson, Research Director at Housing Opinion, the Audit offers an independent, anonymous survey of staff experience, organisational culture, workload pressures, and support systems. The service includes a tailored wellbeing survey, and a clear, actionable wellbeing report providing practical recommendations for improvement.
The survey, comprising of 50 closed questions, covering five wellbeing lenses, include:
• Work Conditions and Workload
• Security and Fairness
• Autonomy and Support
• Culture, Trust and Belonging
• Recovery, Boundaries and Growth
Daryl McIntosh, chief executive at Share, said: “Staff are working under huge pressure. Leaders want to support their teams and have a clear picture of what’s driving stress or burnout. Our Wellbeing Audit gives organisations evidence, insight, and a practical roadmap for strengthening wellbeing and resilience.”
The launch comes as housing providers across Scotland continue to face increasing challenges, and growing complexity in tenant support needs, all of which heighten pressure on staff wellbeing and retention.
The Wellbeing Audit aims to help organisations build healthier, more resilient teams, helping to boost employee morale, strengthen staff retention and improve productivity.
Share, a registered charity, are a leading learning and development provider to the housing sector.
