Share’s Young Housing Professionals’ Conference to return in March

Share is excited to announce the return of its Young Housing Professionals’ Conference on 19th March 2026 at the Clayton Hotel, Glasgow.

The event brings together housing professionals with less than 10 years’ experience for a day focused on self-leadership, community impact, and personal resilience.

Last year’s event left a strong impression on attendees, “this was my first time attending a conference. I felt comfortable, learned a lot, and got the chance to hear from influential people and meet other young housing professionals. It really gave me the confidence to work my way up in the sector and set myself small goals to achieve,” said Cerys Cameron, Customer Service Assistant at Ruchazie Housing Association.

This year’s event is designed to equip the next generation of housing leaders with the confidence, skills, and perspective needed to thrive in an evolving sector. The programme features three inspiring keynote sessions:

    • Sharon Smith, leadership coach and founder of Own Your Leadership, will open the day with a session on self-leadership, showing how taking ownership of your identity, choices, and energy can boost confidence, clarity, and resilience at work.
    • Jonathan Giddings-Reid, community regeneration officer at Elderpark Housing, will explore how to turn ideas into action through meaningful community engagement, demonstrating that young professionals can make a tangible difference, regardless of role or seniority.
    • Paula McGuire, author, speaker and mental health ambassador, will close the conference with a session on embracing fear and transforming stress, inspiring delegates to view challenges as opportunities for growth and professional development.

The conference also offers valuable networking opportunities, allowing delegates to connect with peers, share experiences, and build relationships that can support career progression and personal development.
