SPI Piling announced as headline sponsors of Scottish Construction Summit

SPI managing director Alan Smith
SPI Piling, one of Scotland’s most dynamic and innovative specialist civil engineering companies, is the headline sponsor of the Scottish Construction Summit, the inaugural event hosted by SHN’s sister publication Scottish Construction Now in Glasgow on September 17.
A well-respected firm with an impressive track record in Scotland, SPI Piling has worked alongside some very well-known contractors on projects such as Uig Harbour, Glasgow South Clyde EfW, Hawick Flood Defence, and many others over the years. The firm has built strong relationships in the knowledge that these projects are delivering innovative and resilient outcomes formed in partnership throughout the whole supply chain collaborating from the outset.
SPI managing director Alan Smith feels that sponsoring the Scottish Construction Summit is an effective way of supporting the industry in Scotland.

Mr Smith said: “Events such as the Scottish Construction Summit that bring together high-calibre speakers and industry experts, fostering innovation and collaboration are key to the success of industry moving forward. In a world where progress is a collective journey, every conversation we engage in shapes not just our future, but the future of an entire industry – let’s commit to being the voices that inspire change.”
He added: “At SPI Piling, we believe that the foundations of progress are built on collaboration and innovation, which is why sponsoring the Scottish Construction Summit is not just an investment in the industry, but a commitment to shaping a resilient future together.”
Sustainability is key to the SPI Piling business model and a major concern for clients. To that end, the firm works with partners to ensure the highest levels of sustainability can be attained.

Mr Smith explained: “Building a sustainable future starts from the ground up. With every pile we drive, SPI Piling lays the foundation for a greener tomorrow. SPI, in partnership with the supply chain, have gone to great lengths in ensuring sustainable resilient products are available for our customers. Remember, Steel Piles are a solution to many construction activities, and are fully removable and recyclable at the end of their life. This completes the circular economy, to reduce demand on natural resources, re-use the elements in new construction, and recycle at the end of life.”
In addition, SPI Piling has invested heavily over recent years to ensure the equipment fleet meets the rigorous demands of the industry and the required standards for emissions.
As headline sponsor, SPI Piling joins event sponsors McLaughlin & Harvey, Valorem First and TI Dynamic Facades in supporting the Scottish Construction Summit.
