Taylor Wimpey to deliver 16 homes for Home Group Scotland at Calderwood

Taylor Wimpey East Scotland has finalised an agreement with Home Group Scotland to deliver 16 high‑quality affordable homes for social rent at the growing Calderwood development in East Calder.

This supply of new affordable homes will include a mix of two, three, and four-bedroom properties, helping to meet strong local demand for modern, energy‑efficient family housing. Construction is scheduled to begin later this year, with the first completed homes expected to be handed over to Home Group Scotland in early 2027.

The agreement marks the latest phase of affordable housing delivery at Calderwood and reflects the ongoing partnership between Taylor Wimpey East Scotland, Home Group Scotland, and West Lothian Council to expand access to much‑needed homes in the area.

Abby Kelman, interim land director for Taylor Wimpey East Scotland, said: “We’re pleased to be working once again with Home Group and to bring more affordable homes to Calderwood. These new properties will provide high‑quality, sustainable homes for families and individuals, and we’re proud to play our part in supporting the continued growth of this community.”

Elsa Brailey, head of development for Home Group Scotland, said: “We are working hard to develop as many affordable homes for individuals, couples and families who are from this area and want to stay in this area. This development is another example of this and we are pleased to be working with our partners to do so.”

The 16 affordable homes for social rent will form part of the wider Calderwood masterplan, which continues to deliver new homes, green spaces, and community facilities.
