TC Young marks positive Chambers UK 2027 rankings for social housing

TC Young has achieved another positive set of rankings in the 2027 edition of Chambers UK, recognising both the strength of the firm’s Social Housing Division and the expertise of its lawyers.

Among this year’s individual rankings:

  • Andrew Cowan has once again been recognised as an Eminent Practitioner, a distinction reserved for lawyers regarded as leaders of the profession whose influence extends across the sector.
  • Len Freedman retains his status as a Senior Statesperson, recognising his distinguished career and longstanding contribution to social housing law.
  • Alison Brynes has achieved a Band 1 ranking, reflecting her standing as one of Scotland’s foremost social housing lawyers.
  • Alastair McKendrick has been ranked Band 2.
  • Lauren Little has been ranked Band 2.
  • Christine Stuart has been ranked Band 3
  • Eileen Barr has been recognised as an Associate to Watch, highlighting her growing profile and exceptional contribution to clients and the sector.

For TC Young, these rankings are particularly significant because they are informed directly by the experiences of clients and professional contacts.

Andrew Cowan said: “We are incredibly proud of this year’s Chambers rankings and of every member of our Social Housing Division. These results reflect the dedication, expertise and hard work of our team, as well as the trust our clients place in us. We are grateful to everyone who took the time to provide feedback during the Chambers research process and for their continued support.”
