The donation will enable the entire Youth Team to attend the annual Blackpool Football Tournament later in May.   

Team coach, Gavin Pettigrew, said: “I’m delighted we have this opportunity now to let the kids make memories they will never forget, thanks to the great generosity of West Granton Housing Co-op.

“Without this donation, these kids wouldn’t be getting the full Blackpool experience on top of playing in this wonderful tournament. We can’t wait to not only represent Craigroyston FC, but also hold the WGHC flag high, next to ours, the whole time we are there.”

Chair, Colin Fraser, added: “Being a co-operative is not just about creating opportunities to improve the lives of our members, but also those within the wider community.  WGHC feel privileged to be able to make this trip possible for so many children in our local community. On behalf of WGHC and our committee, we wish the Craigroyston Blues a fantastic experience and hopefully score a few goals too!”
