Housing (SVQ Level 2) (September)
Who is it for and what is it about?
An SVQ is a qualification accredited by the Scottish Qualifications Authority, which is about gaining recognition for what you do in the workplace.
Share runs this qualification as part of the Modern Apprenticeship in Housing, but it is also a stand-alone qualification.
It is an entry level qualification aimed at junior members of staff or those new to the sector.
To achieve the SVQ in Housing at Level 2 candidates need to complete six modules, three core and three optional from a bank of four optional.
Course content
Core Modules:
• Develop and maintain relationships with housing customers
• Maintain effective working relationships with housing colleagues and other stakeholders
• Monitor and maintain health, safety and security
Optional Modules:
• Use organisational IT
• Give customers a positive impression of yourself and your organisation
• Assess housing need
• Respond to customer requests for repairs
Plus three optional from four that Share is accredited to deliver
