Housing (SVQ Level 3) (September)

Who is it for and what is it about?
An SVQ is a qualification which is accredited by the Scottish Qualifications Authority, which is about gaining recognition for what you do in the workplace. It is a competency based qualification.
Share runs this qualification as part of the Modern Apprenticeship in Housing at Level 3, but it is also a standalone qualification. It follows on from the SVQ level 2 in Housing and is aimed at staff who have got responsibility for tasks or for supervising others.
To achieve this qualification at Level 3 candidates need to complete eight modules, three core and five optional. The above date is for the induction.
Course content
Core Modules:
• Promote safe, ethical and sustainable practice in your area of responsibility
• Manage your own resources and professional development
• Develop relationships with others to improve customer service in housing
Optional Modules:
• Respond to customer requests for repairs
• Organise the maintenance and repair of property
• Provide housing advice and guidance to customers
• Manage empty properties
• Deal with customers by telephone
• Arrange and conduct meetings with customers and others
