Who is it for and what is it about?

Moving from an operational role as a housing professional to a strategic role as a board or committee member can be a delicate transition.  This session has been created to help housing professionals who are committee or board members to understand how to use their knowledge and experience to benefit the organisation they now govern, whilst at the same time, shifting their focus away from day-to-day operations and towards longer term strategic oversight, resulting in clearer roles and responsibilities, better scrutiny and more confident governance.

    • Offering support and challenge within the key roles of a committee or board member
    • Maintaining objectivity and challenging assumptions
    • A framework for shifting focus to strategic oversight
