16.09.25 Housing (SVQ Level 2) (September)
Who’s it for and what’s it about?
An SVQ is a qualification accredited by the Scottish Qualification Authority, which is about gaining recognition for what you do in the workplace. Share runs this qualification as part of the Modern Apprenticeship in Housing, but it is also a stand-alone qualification. It is an entry level qualification aimed at junior members of staff or those new to the sector.

An SVQ is a qualification which is accredited by the Scottish Qualification Authority, which is about gaining recognition for what you do in the workplace. It is a competency based qualification. Share runs this qualification as part of the Modern Apprenticeship in Housing at Level 3, but it is also a standalone qualification. It follows on from the SVQ level 2 in Housing and is aimed at staff who have got responsibility for tasks or for supervising others.

Who’s it for and what’s it about?
This course is aimed at individuals who are either new to factoring or wish to obtain a solid understanding of the fundamental requirements of delivering a factoring service within Scotland to protect the housing stock for the next generation.
18.09.25 Managing anti-social behaviour in communities
Who’s it for and what’s it about?
This course is primarily for frontline housing practitioners who are dealing with reports and complaints from tenants about anti-social behaviour (ASB). Beginning with the legal background and framework, delegates will work with practical examples, drawing on tutor and class experiences, to discuss strategies and approaches to dealing with ASB effectively. Delegates will also consider how to approach ASB holistically and how and when to engage with partnership organisations on the issue.
18.09.25 Questions you should be asking – affordability
Who’s it for and what’s it about?
The Scottish Housing Regulator has on several occasions highlighted the need for housings associations and co-operatives to ensure that their rents are affordable. Many organisations will use tools and calculators to analyse the figures and help them arrive at a conclusion. This session will look beyond this at the other ways committee/board should be scrutinising affordability decisions to do the best by their tenants, whilst ensuring the the future of their housing stock is protected.

Who’s it for and what’s it about?
This session has been designed to make sure that committee and board members are aware of their duty of care towards all who work in the organisation and live within the area, and to ensure that they can oversee compliance with relevant legislation.
24.09.25 Business administration (SVQ Level 3) (September)
Who’s it for and what’s it about?
An SVQ is a qualification accredited by the Scottish Qualification Authority, which is about gaining recognition for what you do in the workplace. Share runs the above qualification on a rolling programme as and when required for the Social Housing Sector. It is the qualification for you if you already have approximately two years’ experience of administration and you work as part of a team, but can also have some autonomy when making decisions in your job.

This course is for anyone who wishes to gain a greater understanding about the current benefits system including Universal Credit. It will cover all the major benefits, including those specific to Scotland.

Who’s it for and what’s it about?
This thought provoking and highly practical programme provides a superb platform for both practicing and aspiring team leaders to explore, develop and fine tune their ‘team leading skills’ whilst working towards achieving an internationally recognised, vocational award from The Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM)
04.11.25 Preparing housing staff for court
Who’s it for and what’s it about?
This course is suitable for any housing staff member involved in the process of managing breach of tenancy cases for rent arrears and anti-social behaviour, which proceed to court stage. It will be delivered by a solicitor and will discuss the preparation and paperwork that housing staff must complete before initiating proceedings, the procedures that must be followed when pursuing legal action and the presentation of cases in the courtroom.
05.11.25 CIH Level 3 Certificate in Housing Maintenance and Asset Management (November)
Who’s it for and what’s it about?
This qualification explores some of the functions that are critical to housing maintenance teams within social housing. It is suitable for those with some experience in the area, or
those currently working within housing, and will explore many practical issues and challenges faced by repairs and maintenance assistants and officers. Learners will be led by an experienced housing professional and will consider a range of topics, including professional practice skills, building construction and health and safety awareness.
12.11.25 Wellbeing Network - November
Who’s it for and what’s it about?
Sitting as a sub-group of the busy HR and Corporate Services Network, this group will be dedicated to workplace wellbeing, will meet twice a year and be supported by an email group for sharing ideas, suggestions and good practices with like-minded wellbeing pioneers.
12.11.25 Effective collection in factoring
Who’s it for and what’ it about?
This course is designed for those who work within a factoring role in their housing association and deal with arrears collection. Throughout this course we will examine owner-occupier debts and what we can do as factors to reduce these and address consistent non-payers, as well as the do’s and don’ts of debt collection in relation to legislation and the deeds of condition.

This course is suitable for electrical and non-electrical personnel and considers basic electrical safety leading on to what the minimum requirements are for contractors coming on site and how to interpret their test reports.

This course comprises 2 sessions that have been designed for leaders and managers to build the skills and techniques that can help them to work well and support staff in challenging and sometimes stressful situations. It makes the links between Resilience and Emotional Intelligence and gives leaders space to reflect on their own strengths, influence and impact.
