Govanhill Housing Association is seeking an outstanding leader to guide our organisation into the next stage of its development. We are looking for a visionary and committed individual who can continue to strengthen our position as a leading Registered Social Landlord and community anchor organisation.

We own and manage around 2,800 homes in Govanhill and Merrylee, in addition to providing factoring services to over 1,500 owner-occupiers. Through our wholly owned subsidiary, Govanhill Community Development Trust, we manage a portfolio of commercial properties and support community development initiatives, while also working with partners to deliver supported accommodation projects. With more than 90 staff, an experienced Management Team and a dedicated Management Committee - many of whom are tenants - our organisation is rooted in the communities we serve.

The Chief Executive will provide strategic leadership, ensuring strong governance, financial sustainability and the delivery of high-quality services for tenants and other customers. This role involves working closely with our Management Committee and subsidiary Board to shape and deliver our business plans, promote innovation, and build strong partnerships across the public, voluntary and private sectors.

We are looking for someone with substantial senior leadership experience in a regulated environment, ideally within housing, although those from the wider not-for-profit sector who evidence transferability in application will be equally considered. You will be a skilled communicator, able to inspire staff, influence stakeholders and represent the organisation effectively at local and national levels. A proven record of strategic planning, financial management and performance improvement is essential, as is a deep commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.

This is a demanding and high-profile position, offering the opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of thousands of people. If you share our values and have the drive to lead Govanhill Housing Association into an ambitious future, we would be delighted to hear from you.

For a confidential discussion about the role, please contact Nigel Fortnum or David Currie at Aspen People on 0141 212 7555 or at enquiries@aspenpeople.co.uk
