Property Services Technical Inspector

Job Title: Property Services Technical Inspector 

Salary: EVH Grade 7 (£42,707 - £46,895) 

Hours: 35 hours per week 

Reports to: Property Services Manager

This is a particularly exciting time to join Clyde Valley Group as we continue to strengthen how we deliver responsive repairs, void works, cyclical and planned maintenance, contractor performance, customer experience, quality assurance and the property data that helps us make good decisions about our homes and services. As Property Services Technical Inspector, you will be responsible for providing professional inspection, quality assurance, and technical oversight across reactive, void, cyclical, and planned maintenance works.

Reporting to the Property Services Senior Contract Lead, you will:

    • Deliver an efficient and effective responsive repairs service where customers regularly provide high satisfaction ratings.
    • Undertake inspections to identify defects within void properties in line with the timescales outlined in the Void Management Policy.
    • Monitor and report on the work of consultants and contractors, ensuring works meet agreed specifications, cost controls, and customer expectations.
    • Produce detailed reports on repairs/defects with recommendations for remedial work.
    • Interpret and explain technical reports on repairs / defects / stock condition to non-technical audiences such as colleagues and customers.

What We’re Looking For

    • SCQF level 7 qualification (or above/equivalent) in building, construction or surveying or a related discipline.*
        ◦ *SCQF level 7 includes recognised trade qualifications (e.g. plumbing, joinery). Diplomas or degrees in Surveying, Construction, or the Built Environment are also acceptable.
    • Experience conducting property inspections relating to repairs, maintenance, or construction works.
    • Understanding of landlord statutory health and safety requirements (e.g. gas, electrical, fire safety, water hygiene, etc.).
    • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage workloads, priorities, and competing demands effectively.
    • Understanding of quality assurance and inspection processes within repairs and maintenance services.
    • Full UK Driving License.
