Senior Governance and Corporate Services Officer

Senior Governance and Corporate Services Officer

EVH Grade 8: £51,075 – £55,259 | 35 hours per week | Agile working | Motherwell

At Clyde Valley Group, good governance helps create the conditions for confident decisions, strong assurance and better outcomes for our customers, colleagues and communities.

We are looking for a Senior Governance and Corporate Services Officer to join our Corporate Services Team in a pivotal role at the heart of the organisation. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, gets the detail right and understands how effective governance, compliance and corporate support help an organisation to thrive.

Reporting to our Finance and Corporate Services Director, you will be the central point of contact for governance and corporate services across the Group. You will support our Board and Committee structure, lead key governance processes, act as our Data Protection Officer and help ensure our arrangements remain robust, responsive and future focused.

You will also lead and support a small team, building confidence and clarity in how we deliver corporate services. We are looking for someone with sound judgement, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with colleagues, Board members, regulators and partners.

You do not need to have worked in housing before, although knowledge of the social housing sector and the Scottish Housing Regulator’s framework would be helpful. What matters most is that you bring strong governance experience, excellent writing and organisational skills, a proactive approach to improvement and a genuine commitment to our values and purpose.

At Clyde Valley, you will join a caring, people-centred organisation that is ambitious for our customers, communities and colleagues. We work hard, care deeply about doing things well and value people who bring positivity, collaboration, integrity and a passion for excellent service.

If you can combine attention to detail with big-picture thinking, and want to help make governance and corporate services better, simpler and more effective, we would love to hear from you.

What you’ll bring

· Strong experience in governance, corporate services, compliance or a similar senior role

· Confidence supporting Boards, Committees or senior leadership teams

· Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail

· Sound understanding of regulatory, statutory or compliance environments

· Ability to lead, support and develop colleagues

· A proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach

· Integrity, good judgement and a commitment to continuous improvement

· A positive, collaborative style and a genuine connection to Clyde Valley’s purpose and values.

Why join us?

You’ll be part of a forward-thinking organisation that values people, innovation, and excellence. We offer competitive benefits and the opportunity to make a real impact in the social housing sector.

In return, Clyde Valley Group offer a great remuneration and benefits package, including generous holidays and flexible working arrangements, an on-site gym and training and development opportunities.

If this sounds like the kind of role where you could make a real contribution, we would welcome your application. To apply, please visit www.cvha.org.uk/work-with-us and follow the link to our current vacancies. The full role profile and recruitment pack can be found here
