National housebuilder Barratt Homes has been successful in purchasing a large new site in Livingston from Network Rail Property.

Network Rail has applied for planning permission in principle for an apartment development on the site of a railway depot in Yorkhill. Indicative proposals show there would be two blocks, containing a total of 49 apartments, at the corner of Kelvinhaugh Street and Sandyford Street.

A new premises for Homeless Project Scotland will be formally opened by Glasgow’s Lord Provost today after it was kindly donated to the charity by Network Rail.
