One new member, who resides within the community, was elected to serve on the board.

Chair Allan Scott reflected on a year of careful financial management and continued investment in homes, repairs, improvements and support for tenants. Members were also updated on progress at the former Haghill Primary School site, where 48 new energy efficient homes for social rent are underway. Also launched at the AGM was MHA’s annual report 2025/26 and circulated to members.

Two special recognition awards were made to long-serving board members. Allan Scott was thanked for 30 years of service, including 15 years as chair, while treasurer Rose Tinney was recognised for 20 years of service.

The Q&A that followed gave members the opportunity to ask questions and raise issues directly with the chief executive, board and staff team. Topics included repairs, estate services, communication, factoring, tenant safety, community facilities and support services including the food pantry, community café and welfare and energy advice.

Milnbank said it is proud of the high turnout, which demonstrates the level of support from the local community.
