Milnbank Housing Association marks 50th anniversary at successful AGM
Milnbank Housing Association celebrated its 50th anniversary at its recent Annual General Meeting (AGM), which was attended by nearly 90 shareholders.
The high turnout was welcomed as a strong demonstration of community support.
Two new committee members, and one previously co-optee, who reside in the local community, were elected to serve on the management committee.
In his report to the members, chairman Allan Scott presented key highlights including making a surplus for the financial year which demonstrates Milnbank’s continued trend of cost monitoring. Updates were also reported on the proposed new build development and investment programme.
The chair concluded by emphasising Milnbank’s commitment to ensuring that tenants and other residents receive value for money for the services the Association provides.
After the AGM, a video celebrating the association’s 50th anniversary was shown. This was followed by the CEO and chairman presenting a Q&A session to provide an opportunity for the members to raise local issues related to our services.
On the same day, the community raised over £300 for MacMillan Cancer Support, showing their kindness and commitment to good causes.
