Berwickshire Housing Association (BHA) has congratulated its modern apprentice Kathryn Taylor after she gained a place at this year’s Scottish Federation of Housing Associations (SFHA) Apprentice Challenge.

The challenge, which is taking place on 3-4 June at the Dunblane Hydro during SFHA’s 40th anniversary annual conference, was devised to showcase the young talent within the social housing sector and highlight the need for investing in apprentices.

This year’s challenge will consist of young people from housing associations completing a challenge over the course of the two days of the conference. It is designed to equip the young people with new skills and knowledge which they can transfer to their working environment. It also allows them the chance to meet and chat with sector leaders and helps build their confidence.

Kathryn said: “I am looking forward to doing the apprentice challenge and meeting other people doing apprenticeships from other housing associations. It will be good to experience something new and see what I can learn and bring back to BHA.”
