Campion Homes has completed a 19-home development in the North East Fife village of Balmullo, delivered in partnership with Kingdom Housing Association.

Forming part of Campion Homes’ Pitcairn Gardens development, these new affordable homes will include 12 two‑bed cottage flats and homes (including an amenity and wheelchair‑accessible bungalow), six three‑bed family houses and one four‑bed home.

All properties achieve a highly energy‑efficient EPC B rating and are fitted with air source heat pumps, and will contribute to addressing the housing emergency declared by Fife Council in March 2024.

The development is another product of Campion Homes’ long-term partnership with Kingdom Housing Association. The two companies have worked closely together over the last 35 years to deliver over 1,800 high quality affordable homes across east-central Scotland.

Susan Jackson, joint managing director at Campion Homes, said: “We have a proud, longstanding relationship with Kingdom Housing Association and a shared commitment to creating homes that genuinely meet the needs of local people. This development in Balmullo reflects that partnership in action, delivering high-quality, energy-efficient homes that will make a lasting difference for individuals and families in the area.

“As a family-run business, we care deeply about the communities we build in. These homes are not just about providing much-needed affordable housing; they are about helping to sustain and strengthen the local community - enabling people to stay close to family, access local services and put down long-term roots in a place they are proud to call home.

“Pitcairn Gardens has already established a strong sense of community, and we are delighted that these new homes will build on that, supporting Balmullo’s continued growth while retaining its unique village character.”

Linda Leslie, Kingdom Housing Association chair, said: “It’s been fantastic to see the completed homes at Balmullo that are a welcome addition to this thriving community.

“This has been another successful development with Campion and each time, the partnership has delivered homes that make a tangible difference for local people. This is more vital than ever in the midst of the housing emergency. We’re pleased to see another high-quality development that supports our wider aim of building strong, sustainable neighbourhoods, which is central to Kingdom’s mission of creating more than a home.”

Alongside delivering new homes, Campion Homes has remained committed to supporting the Balmullo community through a range of local initiatives. This includes sponsoring events such as the Fife Point-to-Point for the past two years, including backing the first pony race and final jump at nearby Pusk Farm.

The company has also supported the Balmullo Gala, contributing funding for a PA system and children’s entertainment, helping to bring the community together. Further local investment includes support for improvements to the accessibility of the village guide hall and ongoing sponsorship of the bowling club, reflecting Campion Homes’ broader commitment to leaving a positive and lasting impact in the communities in which it operates.

Properties for social rent will be allocated to tenants from the Fife Housing Register.
