CCG to provide primary contractor services for £100m Wyndford regeneration

CCG (Scotland) has been awarded preferred tenderer to provide primary contractor services for the £100 million regeneration of Wyndford in Maryhill, Glasgow.
The massive transformation project will see almost 400 new energy-efficient, family homes build in the Maryhill community.
The project, being delivered by hub West Scotland, on behalf of Wheatley Group, follows the recent demolition of three and the ongoing demolition of a fourth unpopular and outdated multi-storey in Wyndford.
The new homes will be made up of 85% for social rent and 15% for mid-market rent.
David Wylie, managing director of CCG (Scotland), said: “This landmark development represents the continuation of CCG’s long-standing and much-valued relationship with Wheatley, as well as a return to working with our collaborative development partner, hub West Scotland.
“Together, we have delivered affordable, energy-efficient homes across Scotland, and the Wyndford regeneration is among the most significant yet.
“Through our involvement, our industry-leading construction and manufacturing methods, we will ensure these new homes meet the highest standards of quality and environmental performance.
“Our positive impact will also extend beyond the development, with new opportunities for local employment, apprenticeships, and investment in Maryhill and the wider north Glasgow area.”
The regeneration is being shaped by ongoing engagement with the local tenants, homeowners and businesses, including the tenant-led Wyndford Futures Focus Group, which continues to play a central role in influencing the masterplan.
Frank McCafferty, Wheatley’s group director of assets and development, said: “We look forward to working with CCG to transform Wyndford and create a bright new future for the community.
“This is a new dawn for Wyndford, and our regeneration work will transform the area for generations to come.
“We will continue to work closely with the community to make sure their voices are at the heart of the transformation of the area.”
Iain Marley, chief executive officer of Hub West Scotland, said: “The appointment of CCG as preferred tenderer marks another important milestone in the delivery of this landmark, transformational project. Hub West Scotland, in collaboration with CCG, has a strong track record of delivering high-quality homes that are energy efficient, built to last, and affordable to run — ensuring long-term value for both residents and the public purse.
“We are pleased to continue this successful partnership for the benefit of the Wynford project and our partner, Wheatley Group. Together, we are committed not only to delivering high standards of design and construction, but also to maximising social value through local employment, skills development, and investment in local supply chains throughout the construction phase.”
Subject to planning approvals, construction of the new homes is expected to begin in late 2026.
The £100m regeneration project includes £13m spent on environmental improvements in Wyndford to benefit the wider community, including new bike racks and improved car parking facilities, and new and improved neighbourhood green spaces, open areas, improved walkways, and cycle paths.
New CCTV and controlled-entry systems installed in 2023, along with a new concierge station, have already helped reduce anti-social behaviour in the community.
In May 2025, a new children’s play park was also opened for residents at Wyndford.
The regeneration also includes a new purpose-built two-storey Community Hub, which will be built at the heart of the area.
