Provost of Fife, Jim Leishman, recently held a civic reception at the Glen Pavilion in Dunfermline for the charity Veterans Housing Scotland.
The reception was held with invited guests to celebrate the significant contribution that Fife serving armed forces personnel and veterans make to the UK’s Armed Forces.
The focus of the evening was on how Fife Council could make a greater level of housing services available for personnel and veterans during the housing emergency.
Enhanced housing nomination rights for Veterans Housing Scotland and housing support services are part of the package of improvements that will now be worked out in detail between the council and the charity with a committee report due to councillors in early 2026.
