Cordale Housing Association is delighted to have received a grant of over £7,000 from Clyde Cash for Kids following a successful application again this year.

Cordale used this grant to provide a £25 Argos voucher to 289 local children in Cordale rented properties.

Staff arranged a Santa and Frozen themed party at the Cordale office with Santa himself and frozen look-a-likes in attendance to deliver the presents and festive cheer to the children. The party was a huge success with over 160 delighted children meeting Santa and the Frozen characters. The rest of the presents have been hand delivered to the children that missed the party and Santa.

One of the Association tenants, Lynne Brown from Back Street Renton, attending the party said: “It’s a great event for the kids and the vouchers are very much appreciated and a big help at this time of the year.”

Sarah Lyons from Mill Lade, attending the event with her two children, commented on the day saying “Brilliant! The boys enjoyed meeting Santa.”

This the second consecutive year the Association has successfully applied for the grant and they are delighted with the continued support from Clyde Cash for Kids and the joy the Christmas party and gifts bring to the Cordale children at this magical time of year.

Margaret McCallion, chairperson of Cordale Housing Association, added: “Cash for Kids is a fantastic charity that has a significant impact making a difference for many children. We are delighted to work with Cash for Kids, helping make Christmas very special for many local children. It was great to see Cordale’s office so busy, with so many excited children enjoying meeting Santa.”
