Lintel Trust, a small but resilient charity specialising in housing community support, is delighted to announce the return of the Great Big Lintel Jam Night, a fun-filled night of live music, networking, and fundraising for community support projects.

It is dedicated to Alasdair McKee who tragically passed away last November, having been both a frequent performer at and organiser of the previous Lintel Trust musical events between 2014 and 2019.

The gig takes place on Thursday 16th November at The Record Factory, Byres Road in Glasgow and aims to bring together housing professionals, those who work with them, wider stakeholders, and music enthusiasts from the housing industry, fostering connections and celebrating the spirit of community.

  • Network with Peers: Connect with colleagues, partners, and professionals in the housing sector in a relaxed social setting.
  • Embrace Live Music: Boogie to the beats of local live bands, showcasing the rich musical talent within the wider housing community.
  • Build Relationships: Bring your team along for a great night while raising money to improve lives in Glasgow. Bring friends and family too.
  • Enjoy Good Food and Refreshments: A hot buffet will be provided from 6.30pm for those coming straight from work. The excellent kitchen at The Record Factory is providing a selection of delicious hot food for attendees.

Longtime Lintel Trust supporter Craig Sanderson said: “Previous events have showcased the latent musical talent amongst housing professionals whose ‘day jobs’ have been the delivery of excellent services to so many people. This one features band members who have worked for Maryhill, Queens Cross and Link Housing Associations. The gig will also honour Alasdair McKee, not only a highly respected director of Glenoaks HA but also a fine bassist with whom I had the privilege of performing several times.”

In his memory, and recognising the increasing number of people needing support in Glasgow, all funds raised will be donated to two mental health support initiatives in the city – Mind the Men and Lifelink - both excellent Glasgow charities supporting local people through the toughest of times.
