Hillcrest Group recognised for investing in young people
Lesley Pert, Hillcrest’s HR manager, said: “We are delighted to receive the Investors in Young People Silver Accreditation. Hillcrest has strong commitment to exploring different opportunities for fostering young talent and to investing in and developing our workforce of the future.
“This accreditation shows that we are truly commitment to the training and development of young people and demonstrates that Hillcrest is an employer of choice for young people in Scotland.”
Rebecca Pattie, 22, Hillcrest’s graduate publicity assistant, said: “I really enjoy working for the Hillcrest Group and I think it’s a great company for young people to work for.
“It is hard for graduates to find good jobs that will give them experience they need to move forward in their career.
“Hillcrest has given me the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects and has enabled me to expand my skills and experience – all of which will serve me well in the future.”
Peter Russian, chief executive of Investors in People Scotland, added: “The Investors in Young People framework not only recognises and supports organisations in the employment of young people, but marks them out as an employer of choice.
“The benefits of recruiting and developing young people are countless. These include the creation of a talent pool for the future, new and increased skills in areas such as IT and social media, fresh eyes and mind-sets into business operations along with enthusiasm and unique talents.”
The Hillcrest Group operates throughout Scotland, providing services across a range of industries, including: social housing, recruitment, employment and learning opportunities, social care, midmarket rental accommodation, and maintenance services. The Group employs almost 1000 people within its offices, with the Headquarters based in Dundee.
