Investors in People shortlists Hawthorn for national award

Hawthorn Housing Co-operative has been shortlisted for a national Investors in People award after it obtained three IIP awards earlier this year.
The Possilpark-based Co-op, which manages over 300 homes, received the Investors in People Platinum, Investors in Young People Gold and Developing Remarkable Boards awards.
The Co-op has been shortlisted for the Excellence in Leadership and Management Award for organisations with less than 500 staff.
Mattie McGeouch, chair of the Co-op, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be shortlisted for this award and it shows that a very small organisation controlled by a local community can excel.”
The award will be announced at a ceremony in London on November 28.
