New homes mooted for Kinloch Rannoch

Planning permission in principle is being sought for 19 houses in Kinloch Rannoch.

The proposed community-led development by Rannoch Community Trust and Dunalastair Estate would provide 12 houses for affordable rent or purchase and seven houses for private rent or sale.

Drawn up by Andrew Black Design, the plans include both 2 and 3-bedroom detached and semi-detached houses, with some designed as live-work units to provide opportunities for the creation of new rural businesses. The landscaping proposal by Ironside Farrar includes a footpath through new parkland to the River Tummel and enhances the setting of the houses in the national scenic area, for the benefit of future residents and the local community.

Announcing the submission on LinkedIn, Andrew Black Design said: “During our extensive community consultations, we found widespread support for the proposals now awaiting approval by Perth & Kinross Council.

“We’re looking forward to helping deliver this project with Rannoch Community Trust, Dunalastair Estate and the Communities Housing Trust.”
