Places for People digs for partners on £295m groundworks deal

Places for People has launched a near £300 million national framework renewal hunt for groundworks specialists across England and Scotland for the next four years.

The National Groundworkers Framework will cover everything from site clearance, earthworks and foundations to drainage, utilities, roads and external works for both Places for People and its development arm, PfP Developments.

The framework is split into 13 regional lots and runs from 22 September 2026 to 20 September 2030. An unlimited number of firms can be appointed, with work packages let either through mini-competitions or direct awards.

Estimated values for the lots in Scotland are Scotland Central Belt (£19.4m) Scotland North 1 (£8.8m) and Scotland North 2 (£16.0m).

Bids will be assessed on a 70:30 quality-price split.

Enquiries close on July 15, with the submission deadline set at July 20. Contract awards are expected by August 14.
