Registration now open for Scottish Housing Summit 2026
Registration is officially live for the Scottish Housing Summit (SHS) 2026, taking place on 22 October at the SEC Glasgow, Hall 5. The event is free to attend, and delegates can register now at scs26.smartreg.co.uk.
Launched by the team behind Scottish Housing News, and forming a key part of the Scottish Construction Summit (SCS), SHS brings together housing associations, local authorities, developers and industry bodies for a day dedicated to the issues shaping housing delivery in Scotland. Running alongside SCS, the co-located format also opens up valuable crossover with the construction side of the industry, giving delegates access to both programmes under one roof.
A Programme Built Around the Issues That Matter
The Summit’s agenda is structured around the biggest challenges and opportunities facing the sector right now:
- More Homes Scotland — a look at the proposed new government body to speed up housebuilding
- Sustainable Retrofit — case studies showcasing innovative responses to Scotland’s retrofit challenges
- Construction Innovators — presentations from leaders pioneering net zero tools and building practices
- SSEN Transmission — exploring the construction and housing opportunities arising from SSEN’s multi-billion-pound electricity transformation across the north of Scotland
- Planning Our Way Out of the Housing Emergency — a conversation on NPF4, Local Development Programmes and speeding up the planning system
Big Names Already Confirmed
The Summit has already secured a strong line-up of speakers from across the housing sector, including Dr Jocelyne Fleming - Scottish policy and public affairs lead at The Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB); Liz Hamilton, senior land planning manager at AS Homes & Briar Homes; David Raine, policy manager at Homes for Scotland; and Gordon Thomson, director and head of Scotland at Turley.
Potential sessions currently in development include a Housing Association Leaders panel and an outline of Awaab’s Law in Scotland.
