Sharon Donohoe
The Tenants Information Service (TIS) has appointed Sharon Donohoe to the role of interim chief executive officer with immediate effect.
Sharon has been with TIS since 1999 and brings over 35 years of experience as a dedicated tenant participation and community development practitioner. She has extensive knowledge of TIS operations and plays a pivotal role in leading major programmes that strengthen tenant voice and partnership working across Scotland.
Sharon currently oversees high‑impact projects delivered in collaboration with housing organisations, tenants, and the Scottish Government, ensuring that national policy and local practice are informed by meaningful engagement. Her long-standing involvement and sector expertise make her ideally placed to guide the organisation during this transition.
“I am honoured to step into the role of interim CEO at such an important time for TIS,” Sharon said.
“Having worked alongside tenants, landlords, and partners for many years, I’m committed to ensuring continuity, stability, and a strong focus on our mission. TIS will continue to champion meaningful tenant participation across Scotland, and I look forward to supporting the team as we move into this next chapter.”
TIS will shortly begin the process to recruit a new permanent CEO, with further updates to follow in due course.
The team said it remains committed to delivering on its ambitious strategic business plan and continues to lead the way in tenant participation, community development, and scrutiny.
Previous CEO Kerry Clayton moved on from the organisation to take up a new role with West of Scotland Housing Association.
TIS extended its thanks to Kerry for her contribution and wished her every success in her new position.
