Stephen was a loyal and committed committee member and friend. The Co-operative was in his blood as his father, Hugh, had been a founding member. Stephen was very proud of his father.

Stephen faced his long illness with courage, positivity and strength. Even as he became frailer, his voice remained strong and his outlook was positive. He always had a smile on his face and was quick with a joke – usually at his own expense.

Stephen and his positive energy will be sorely missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
