The Whiteinch Centre raises £500 for STV Children's Appeal

The Whiteinch Centre (TWC) has announced the success of its Big Scottish Breakfast fundraiser, which brought the local community together to enjoy good food, great company, and most importantly, to raise money for an incredible cause.

Thanks to the generosity and support of community members who attended, and an uplift from Whiteinch & Scotstoun Housing Association (WSHA), the event raised £500.00 in aid of the STV Children’s Appeal.

STV’s Children’s Appeal supports children and young people affected by poverty right across Scotland, funding vital projects that make a lasting difference. By hosting this event, TWC has not only raised funds but also highlighted the power of community spirit in tackling important issues together.

Lee Raeside, community projects co-ordinator at The Whiteinch Centre, said: “We are absolutely thrilled with the turnout and generosity shown at our Big Scottish Breakfast. Events like this remind us how strong our community is when we come together, and it’s wonderful to know that the money raised will go directly towards supporting children and families across Scotland.”

Debs Allan, communities manager at WSHA, commented: “The Big Scottish Breakfast was a fantastic way to bring people together while supporting such a meaningful cause. We’re incredibly proud of the £500 raised, and even more proud of the sense of unity and community spirit that was shared on the day.”

The Whiteinch Centre would like to thank all attendees, volunteers, and supporters who made the event possible. Together, the community has shown that even small contributions can add up to big change.
