‘Very Good’ rating for Eildon’s Station Avenue

eildon_MGEildon Housing Association has received another glowing report for the service at Station Avenue in Duns, supporting adults with learning disabilities to live independently.

Although this service has received consistently high marks from the Care Inspectorate, the recent report, following an inspection in November, has seen these grades increase to ‘Very Good’ across all categories that were inspected.

The Care Inspector concluded that “service users were supported in a person centred manner and their views, choices and preferences were at the forefront of the care and support received” and “staff were confident and committed to providing the best possible care to service users by taking the lead in many different areas within the service to enable them to do this”.

Nile Istephan, chief executive at Eildon Housing Association, said: “It is very satisfying to receive this excellent report from the Care Inspectorate on the service that Eildon staff deliver at Station Avenue. We have received excellent feedback from service users and their families across all aspects of our service, especially around how well we communicate and engage with them on all aspects of their needs. Eildon Housing Association are committed to continual improvement in our activities, whether that be in housing, new development or the delivery of high quality care services.”
