Website for private tenants and landlords upgraded and relaunched

A free online resource giving tenants and landlords a comprehensive guide to private renting in Scotland was officially relaunched yesterday following a total overhaul. has been redeveloped and launched by Shelter Scotland following a funding award of £43,500 from SafeDeposits Scotland Trust.

The relaunched site includes new animations and graphics to communicate the website’s information in a more visual/interactive way. exists as an independent platform that promotes the Tenant Information Pack, checklist tools for landlords and expert guidance for both parties.

Graeme Brown, director of Shelter Scotland, said: “There have been significant changes to private renting laws in recent months – including the new private residential tenancy in December last year - so the relaunch of is good timing and provides informative and up-to-date information on tenant and landlord rights and responsibilities.

“Providing impartial, accurate and up-to-date information will help ensure smooth, successful tenancies.”
