Housing associations in a nutshell – Finance and development

Who’s it for and what’s it about?

The final part of our three-session induction programme will introduce two housing association functions which require sharp scrutiny and good risk management. The finance function of a housing association will cover all aspects of financial management, from management accounts to future financial planning and projections and covenant and lending obligations.

Not all associations will be developing but all committee and board members should have a base line of knowledge on what risk and considerations association should consider when contemplating development, the different stages of development and what oversight committee and board should expect to have of the process.
