Caledonia wins approval for energy efficient homes in Dundee

The Association has teamed up with Discovery Homes and Voigt Architects on the developer which will deliver 30 properties for social housing, and ten for private sale, creating a mix of two, three and four-bedroom homes over one or two storeys. Two of the homes are designed for accessible living.

All of the homes will be constructed off-site using techniques that mean that the properties will be wind and watertight in a week.

Announcing the news on LinkedInVoigt Architects director Jonathan Reeves wrote: “We are delighted that our recent application for 40 energy efficient homes at Rosebank was approved at Dundee Council planning committee on Monday. We are very grateful for all the hard work from our consultants, Dundee planning department and for the local Community Council (Coldside Forum) for their helpful engagement during the planning process.

“We are working hard on the building warrant and hopefully work will start on site later this year on what will be an exemplar project for Caledonia Housing Association and Discovery Homes.”
