Cassiltoun Housing Association holds annual Halloween Pumpkin Festival

Cassiltoun Housing Association welcomed more than 1,000 people for its annual Halloween Pumpkin Festival.

The Pumpkin Festival is a much-loved annual Halloween celebration in Castlemilk. This year, pumpkin carving and a pumpkin patch were on offer at Castlemilk Stables and carving at the local Love and Solidarity Community Hub.

The annual Spooky Walk was delivered this year with a new route in Castlemilk Park. This year, it featured a wide range of actors, dancers, drummers, and lots of spooky props, as well as pumpkins carved by the local community.

Cassiltoun Housing Association was supported by a huge range of partners and around 60 volunteers. These included Cassiltoun’s Youth Advisory Panel, who dressed up in spooky costumes and acted at the event.

Some of the feedback included: “Great walk, great community project and brings people together. Actors were great and dancers on the pitch were fabulous!”

Cassiltoun Housing Association’s October week Food and Fun session, delivered as part of the Castlemilk Together partnership, attracted 114 participants who got a free meal and took part in harvest-themed activities.
