Kindness Homeless Street Team (Kindness HST) is a community group set up to help the homeless and less fortunate people within Glasgow and surrounding areas.

The group provides a pop-up soup kitchen service within George Square in Glasgow four evenings per week, and it supplies clothing, toiletries and essentials for those who find themselves on the street and for people who are facing financial hardship or vulnerability. There are around 100 volunteers who are committed to providing this much needed service.

Commenting on the support it has received from Taylor Wimpey, CEO and founder of kindness HST Laura McSorley, said: “We would like to thank Taylor Wimpey West Scotland and its staff so much for their latest amazing donation for Kindness. They have previously supported our charity, and the supply of shopping cards, new school uniforms and donations of essential toiletries will do so much to help those we work hard to support.

“Starting back to school can be an expensive business providing new school uniform and essential school items. This donation from Taylor Wimpey and its staff will go straight to those who need it most.”

Audrey Ross, sales and marketing director ay Taylor Wimpey, added: “We are delighted to be able to support the Kindness Homeless Street Team once again. The work we do is a lot more than just building high-quality homes.

“Being able to work with local groups and organisations in our local area means a great deal to us, and it’s great to know this donation of back-to-school essentials that are needed right now will help to make a difference to the lives of people in the local community.”

Taylor Wimpey’s donation to Kindness HST is one of the many contributions being made by the housebuilder towards community facilities and infrastructure in the wider area.
