Hebridean Housing Partnership holds 20th AGM

Attendees at the HHP AGM 2026

The Hebridean Housing Partnership (HHP) held its 20th Annual General Meeting on 26 August 2026 on Microsoft Teams.

The Chair, Calum Mackay, welcomed those who were present and thanked everyone, such as staff, partners, contractors and tenants for their input over the past 12 months and discussed some of the work delivered by HHP over the last two decades.

The following resolutions were given the green light by the membership present:

  • To appoint CT: Audit as its External Auditor until its next General Meeting
  • To donate £5,000 of the surplus at 31 March 2026 to five local charities, which are: MND Scotland, Confide Western Isles, Western Isles Cancer Care Initiative, Hebridean Mountain Rescue Team and Neuro Hebrides.

After the closure of official business, Eilidh Izat, architect and winner of the RIBA House of the Year 2025, presented architectural examples from Norway as well as their own housing experience to show how communal living, prefabricated timber construction, reuse and early collaboration can aid affordable and sustainable housing.

During the board meeting after the AGM, Calum Mackay was re-elected as HHP chair. Helen Mackenzie was re-elected to the position of vice chair, with Iain Mackinnon also being appointed as board member.
