New episode published in Equality in Housing podcast series

The Equality in Housing podcast series, delivered by Housing Options Scotland in partnership with the UK Collaborative Centre for Housing Evidence (CaCHE), has published a new episode.

The aim of the podcast is to offer insights and experiences that highlight the work taking place around Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in housing in ‘real time’, from those with on-the-ground experience and expertise.

It exists to showcase the excellent work taking place, a chance to share insights, best practice and challenges, as well as reflect on the use of research and evidence in day-to-day practices, or whether research and evidence needs to be more accessible.

In the latest episode, the hosts Pedro Cameron and Gareth Young have a great conversation with Megan Moffat, policy and public affairs officer for Who Cares? Scotland. Megan shares the specific issues faced by Care Leavers in accessing housing, the role of local authorities as a guardian for people in care, and the fight to recognise being care experienced as a protected characteristic.
