Scottish Housing Summit speaker profile: Gillian Lavety
Gillian Lavety
The Scottish Housing Summit will bring together housing associations, local authorities, developers and industry bodies for a day dedicated to the issues shaping housing delivery in Scotland.
Running alongside the Scottish Construction Summit, the co-located format also opens up valuable crossover with the construction side of the industry, giving delegates access to both programmes under one roof.
Gillian Lavety is development director at Sanctuary Scotland Housing Association, where she leads the organisation’s development and growth strategy, overseeing the delivery of new homes and regeneration projects that support sustainable communities across Scotland.
With more than 20 years of experience in the housing sector, Gillian has been with Sanctuary for nine years and has played a key role in expanding the organisation’s development pipeline and building strong strategic partnerships.
Her expertise includes strategic land acquisition, partnership working and large-scale residential development. She works closely with local authorities, developers and community stakeholders to deliver projects that are commercially robust, socially responsible and aligned with Sanctuary’s long-term vision.
Gillian is passionate about increasing the supply of high-quality, affordable housing and is committed to creating sustainable communities and helping more people access safe, secure homes.
