A new canal side development of 234 new homes for rent above six commercial units has been granted planning permission by the City of Edinburgh Council.

Councillors are expected to give the green light to mixed-use proposals to regenerate the site of the old Fountainbridge Brewery site in Edinburgh.

Vastint Hospitality is to continue its regeneration of Edinburgh’s Fountainbridge with the submission of new mixed-use proposals. Architecture practice 3DReid has lodged plans with the City of Edinburgh Council for 234 homes for private rent as well as six commercial units
