Plans to build an 81-bedroom nursing home in partnership with Abbeyfield Scotland in Aberdeen have been put out for consultation. Developer Dandara has proposed building 14 homes and a new nursing home instead of 50 houses for which they have already received planning permission.
Developer Dandara has submitted proposals to Aberdeen City Council to build 151 homes and a retirement apartment block in the Pinewood area of Countesswells. Under the plans, 116 of the properties will be spread across two apartment blocks with the remaining 35 units built as nearby houses.
Abbeyfield Scotland has acquired five properties from developer Dandara to provide homes for private rent in Aberdeen. The £2 million investment in the two-bedroom bungalows will allow the charity to offer a dedicated support service aimed at people who are looking to live independently for longer.
Plans to build 40 affordable homes on the site of a demolished Royal British Legion Club have been approved by Aberdeen City Council, the Evening Express has reported. Dandara lodged proposals last year to create 40 affordable homes on Mugiemoss Road at the site of the former Bucksburn British Legio
