17.5 hours per week, flexible working hours, SHAPS defined contribution pension scheme, 25 days’ annual leave and 15 days’ public holiday per annum (pro-rata due to part time role)
About Us
Cernach Housing Association is a successful and well performing community-based registered social landlord (RSL) operating in Drumchapel, North west Glasgow since 1991. We own 877 homes, and we provide a management service to 17 sharing owners and 140 homeowners. We act as community anchor organisation for Drumchapel. Our turnover is £4.6 million, a major part of which comes from rental income.
About the Role
We are looking to recruit a highly motivated, enthusiast and committed individual to join the Cernach team in the post of part-time Housing Officer (job share). The team delivers a first-class Housing Management & Tenancy Sustainment Service. We ensure a customer-focused service is provided to all residents and stakeholders. We work closely with our partners and stakeholders to ensure we provide a high standard of delivery service. You will be actively involved in our community engagement work and support our thriving community in Drumchapel.
You will report to the Senior Housing Officer. You will have the support of a high performing and experienced team, which consists of 4 FTE Housing Officers, Welfare Rights & Tenancy Sustainment Officer and an Assistant Housing Officer.
You must be well organised and able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will need to be able to manage a varied workload in a fast-paced environment.
You Should
You will have a genuine passion to deliver excellent customer service, uphold high professional standards and be a confident and dynamic member of the team. You will be able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of all relevant legislation and best practice with extensive and demonstrative practical experience. This role will enable you to make real change to the lives of our residents.
We are looking for you to have:
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in housing management within a customer-focused environment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of housing legislation and good practice, including legal requirements relating to tenancy management and regulatory compliance.
• Understanding of equality and diversity legislation and its practical application within a Housing Association setting.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage difficult or sensitive situations calmly, professionally and with a holistic approach.
• Strong organisational skills and initiative, able to prioritise and manage a varied workload to meet deadlines, alongside competency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
You should be solution focused and have the ability to work on your own initiative. Finally, you should have the desire to make a difference at Cernach Housing Association
